The ITS Detergenti production plant at Seregno (MI) comprises 2 departments.
Soap-making Department
Italsilva is still actively involved in the manufacturing of soap. With over a century of experience in the sector, in 1996 ITS Detergenti designed and launched new soap based detergents, opening up the “Marseille products market” for laundry care, household and personal beauty care products. The soap-making installations currently achieve an annual production of 35,000 tons of finished soap. The packaging department for laundry and toiletry soaps numbers 6 complete, totally automated production lines.
Since 1950, the entire soap-making process, including product marking, production and packaging, has been carried out on automated lines. Back in 1942, soap was marked by hand, modeled and packaged one piece at a time.
Nowadays, Italsilva makes use of world-class production installations for soap and glycerol. Sophisticated advanced technology and ongoing evolution allow for the production of reliable and competitive high quality products conforming to increasingly stringent European Union norms.
ITS currently produces soap for some of the world's leading cosmetics manufacturers, exporting 35% of its soap and soap bar production.

Packaging Department
The ITS production facility makes use of a cosmetics packaging department (also authorized as a PMC production lab) and laundry soap packaging department capable of manufacturing a variety of formats, such as, for example:
- 100, 125, 150, 200 g for toiletry soaps, cartoned, wrapped, single, multiple, etc.
- 250, 300, 400 g for laundry soaps (single, multiple, etc.)
The ITS technical team specializes in conforming to our customers' unique demands, finding the simplest and most creative technological solutions so as to obtain an optimal and industrializable mix.
Powder Detergents Department
The first of its kind in Italy, its production tradition goes back to the 1950s, when the very first complex powder detergent formulas were born, aimed at a new market which began using washing machines both industrially and in homes.
Right from the start, ITS committed to a mixed vaporization and post-dosage production technology, later adopted by all leading manufacturers in the sector.

Vaporization production installation
This complex technology comprises the formulation of various products through the dosage of all components, homogenization in liquid phase, and drying in vaporization towers to obtain the finished powdered product.

Packaging Department
The production plant comprises a total of 8 automated packaging lines for the following formats:
- Cartons E2-E3-E5-E7-E10-E15
- Bags from 1 to 10 kg
- Bags from 4 to 30 kg
The packaging department also includes packaging lines for bags in cartons containing 4 and 8 pieces, or in boxes, as well as an automated palletization process. Empty bags can also be palletized.
