Italsilva lends a great deal of importance to technological innovation, both as a source of growth and in terms of creating corporate value.

The Research & Development group is spread out over three laboratories situated at the various production sites. Research activities cover just about every category of detergents and cosmetics: soap bars, luandry detergents, toiletries, powder detergents for hand and machine washing, liquid detergents, detergents for hard surfaces, pre-treatment products, additives, fabric softeners, …

Our Research & Development team adopts simple, clear operating principles: customer orientation, speed in fine tuning new products, simplicity in technical solutions, and partnerships with the most highly skilled experts in various sectors, all of which is geared towards obtaining best quality solutions.

A great deal of emphasis is placed on performance evaluations, both in a structly technical sense (evaluating cleaning efficiency, secondary performance levels, foam quality, etc.) and in the area of sensory perception, always bearing in mind, however, that only the end consumer's response can determine the final success of our innovations.

Rigorous attention is reserved to product quality controls. Each and every primary material entering our production facilities is regularly analyzed and quality tested: from the purity of fats used for manufacturing soap bars, to the correct composition of fragrances; from the activity of tensioactive agents to the degree of humidity in inorganic substances to the correct aesthetic and functionality of product packaging.
